Leesburg, Ohio | Our dealer would have been busting his tail to either get it working, or they would bring us another planter to run until it was fixed. Maybe there wasn't another 24 row around, but our little dealer had three 16's and a couple 12's sitting there most of corn planting season this year. When the rain slowed us down on beans, we rented one of them and ran three outfits to get our little bit done by Memorial Day. Year before last we had a combine hydraulic pump puke three times on us. The second and third time, we had a loaner in the field running within a couple hours. Yes, we paid some rent then, too, but they treated us right, and we had use of a bigger machine to boot.
I understand your frustration with the problem not getting fixed, but blaming Deere for a problem primarily caused by the weather is a real stretch. Yes, they absolutely should have had it fixed sooner, but couldn't you and/or the dealer have been rounding up different equipment meanwhile, 24 row or not? | |
