nc ks | We will for sure be putting some hours on the combine now. We had from at least 1" to 4+" on everything. Not sure how bad the borderline toasted beans are going to be, but should have saved the basic yield on most acres.
If these 3.8 beans put flowers on top now, do they have any chance of filling or are we too late?
Nosed the combine into 3 fields of corn yesterday. Moisture from 18% to 25%. Test weights only 53 to 56. Will get a little better when drier. We have been used to 60 lb corn the last few years. Would have seen if somebody would take the 18% if there would not have been such a big chance of rain.
