make sure that you don't have a bad universal joint in the drive shaft that runs from the rear of the machine, through the grain tank. there is an access panel on the shroud surrounding it in the grain tank, to check the front u-joint. not the easiest thing to get to, but not bad either. my guess is the previous owner never greased the front u-joint since it isn't the easiest to get to. good luck!
