If your file at start up is: 12010101 (12=2012, 01=Jan, 01=1st, 01 File) then your internal battery is dead. Replacements are ~$17 easy to replace. Just be sure to back up your settings and field info. Directions should come with the battery. As long as you are at it make sure you have the latest firmware = 6.01
