Subject: Re: Seed dealer=Land competitor?

perryton, tx
One of my good friends is a seed dealer. He also farms a lot of acres, so in that regard i guess you could say he's my competitor. My question is when did farming become a competition anyway? There are no prizes awarded for who has the highest yields or farms the most ground. Beating my neighbors yields or whatever else does not improve my bottom line one bit. I would also like to add that my friend sells seed to supplement his farm income. If there is a seed dealer who makes a living strictly selling seed they are very few and far between, at least around here.
