Farmington IL | This is an interesting subject. Its a free world and a person should be able to do whatever he wants, but, I really dont think it is good business to be a ag supplier and be actively renting ground. Thats just my opinion. I know it makes alot of people around here unhappy when these business people are actively pursuing acres. I dont know how many people wont do business with them because of it, some for sure and others are quite aware and talk of it often.
As far as your scenario, I would probably go buy my seed from someone else and if it really made me mad I might put up a sign and start selling seed at dealer cost to everybody. Its a free world ya know!!
