Subject: Corn and Nitrogen useage

NW Ohio
If, and I say if, corn averages 165 as USDA has estimated, we are applying way too much nitrogen to our corn. For as much nitrogen that has been lost this year and the acre upon acre of yellow corn out there, USDA says that we will have a way above trendline yield. Looks like we could cut our nitrogen applications by 30% or more and come out with great yields. Any agronimists out there agree or disagree? What are your thoughts?
