| Not an uncommon problem. The distance between the auger and the feederhouse chain is too great. Made worse with larger drive tires and the the need to push the bottom of the header forward to get the cutterbar to run correctly. Adjusting the auger as far back as possible, and adjusting the fingers to push the material farther will help, but also create other problems. The same thought process applies to the feederhouse chain, but there are limits to that, and can cause tension problems. Make sure the feederhouse chain slats are not chewed up or leaning backwards. Give me two weeks and I can give you some more possible solutions, I have two machines to fix. | |
