Subject: Perkins fuel pump bad, or line leak?

United States
Got an older perkins 6cyl with the mechanical lift pump, trying to use it as a power unit for a water pump. Looks like it came out of an older massey combine. It runs for maybe a half hour or so, then will stop pretty quickly. Air in the filters Pump & bleed the lines and filters and it starts and runs the same. When pumping to bleed the lines, it doesn't pump very strong.

Should I just replace the pump, and see what happens, or do I have a leak somewhere in the lines I can't find that is causing the problems?
