Subject: Re: Ground speed source on Insight yeild monitor

WNW Illinois, Henry Co
the reason the lines are not narrow is the insight thinks the swath is 2.5 m so that would be a solid field. only if the header width of 25 m or something bigger than 2.5 m, with a reduced width of cut by a certain number of rows would give you a blank in the fill in. (clear as mud?)

does it seem as if the ground speed is way off?? can you compare monitor speed to a different vehicle speed? i gotta think that is the difference. if you can compare speed to speed, and the monitor is 20% too fast, increase the cal number 20% would get you closer to correct. The measuring tape to get calibration is the absolute best way.

If you do not have a speedometer in the vehicle, run along side with one that has one for comparison,

Oh, by the way, it is shutting off acre count on the ends correct? if not that will screw up your totals, put acres up in the right side as one of you choices to be sure it stops when header is lifted, if not, adjust the calibration for header height to desired level, Normally, acre count is VERY close to real if properly calibrated.

good luck
