Hello Kent,

now is a great time to plant cover crop radishes.

We have been working with radishes at the WIU Organic Research farm in southwest Warren Cty for 3 years.

We had a few bloom when planted the first week of August in 2007 but they didn't produce any mature seed.

How are you planning to plant your radishes?

To date, we have drilled most of our radishes with a JD 750 ... this year we are going to try planting some on 30" rows using Kinze 60 cell milo plates in our planter.

Planted in the next week or 2, your radishes should get quite large (assuming a reasonable seeding rate and adequate moisture and fertility).

Where are you located?

Joel
WIU Agriculture

Where are you sourcing your organic radish seed, Joel?
