Mascoutah, Illinois | According to the elevators around this area at the Mississippi River in St. Louis, they cannot ship the corn because of the damage content. They are holding the damaged corn from this past harvest to blend it with this year's crop so they can load it onto barges and it will get accepted at its destination. Cargos have been refused. Farmers are still holding grain in their bins the elevators will not take until they can blend this crop with last year's. Some elevators will not accept corn over 10% damage while others will accept it up to 20%. There are reports of some folks who have corn in their bins which has damage of up to 45%.
