central alberta | We have to swath our crops, we don't have a drier or aeration. Our season is too short, the wheat takes to long standing for dry down. We have lots of hills, so lots of uneven maturing also, thus we have to lay it down. We tried spraying round-up once thinking that it would dry faster....NOPE...good learning experience though...A few guys here do straight cut, but they have the drying capability...crops look good this year! Canola is still flowering...going on 5 weeks... | |
