S.E. Iowa | Have often wondered how you guys find brokers or get access to the places like Ghicago fruit markets. There is always that push from differrent groups about growing alternate crop other than corn and beans. There never seems to be a way in place for getting these crops to a major market, you only can get rid of so much through road side stands and farmers markets. Being just 5 hrs to Chicago and St Louis and just 90 minutes to Des Moines, it would seem to be a large enough population base to absorb a fairly good sized shift to fruits or vegtables. | |
