Hillsdale Co. Michigan | Have come across 1 worm so far this year and haven't applied anything... Just started hand picking earlier this week. Coons ate plenty and I dispatched plenty of coons... The 2170 is making a 9 inch ear but only going about 1 3/4 across w/ 16 rows... Taste and texture are excellent and my customer base thus far seems to be quite happy... We'll see how it sells this weekend and at a few of the grocery stores I supply.
I generally have to bite the bullet and break out the warrior by Mid-August silking corn... I try to hold off as long as possible.
Found my first Jap beetle yesterday munching on silk...
For as hot and humid and dry as it has been I am quite surprised at the low bug pressure I've seen. | |
