We have always had really good wheat crops for a couple years following alfalfa.
That's what I've seen also. Baled straw on some old abandoned hay ground a couple of years ago. The farmer rented it and from the land owner and planted wheat.....~7,000 lbs/acre straw and 90+ bpa wheat as I recall. And then he planted it back to wheat the follwing year. |
