Subject: Definition of "chisel plow"

West Central Wisconsin
I find it interesting that not all of us have the same piece of equipment in mind when we use the term chisel plow. There are tools that I would call disc ripper that some call a chisel plow and I have seen some equipment others might call a c-p that I can't even describe. I don't know if it's a regional/geographical thing or what, but I do find it interesting. It's kind of like the discussion last fall about harvesting, combining, running or cutting beans. To each his own and I mean no direspect, but just another one of many things I have learned on this great site. BTW my version of a chisel plow would have a gang of disc blades followed by spring loaded shanks with a twisted 3-4 inch wide point on it set on about 15 inch spacings. Joe.
