I really like the brassica species for grazing ( turnips, radishes, rape, or canola) If going to soybeans i would stay away from the warm season broadleaves in the mix and if you go to corn i would stay away from the warm season grasses. The one thing about the brassica species is they will eat up a lot of residue do the the low carbon to nitrogen ratio. So if residue management is something you are looking for keep that in mind. Here in south dakota most all of our cover crops will kill over winter. you might want to pick species that you can get rid of fairly easy.
