Subject: cover crop for winter grazing, suggestions?

South Central Kansas, Harper County
Finished cutting wheat in SC Ks last week, and have one 250 acre field that is being rotated out of wheat into a spring crop next year. This is sandy ground. I want to plant a cover crop that will allow me to graze these 250 acres, with 500# calves this winter. At this time, this ground is intended to go back into Corn, Beans, or Milo next spring. We have good residue, as this is a notil farm. I know of a cover crop grazing mix by a friend of mine in Nebraska, but looking for other options to ponder until time to plant.
thanks,
Jim
