South Central Kansas, Harper County | Finished cutting wheat in SC Ks last week, and have one 250 acre field that is being rotated out of wheat into a spring crop next year. This is sandy ground. I want to plant a cover crop that will allow me to graze these 250 acres, with 500# calves this winter. At this time, this ground is intended to go back into Corn, Beans, or Milo next spring. We have good residue, as this is a notil farm. I know of a cover crop grazing mix by a friend of mine in Nebraska, but looking for other options to ponder until time to plant.
thanks,
