Thank you Jim.
I remember the 50 anniversary too. We were honored to host an American family during the celebrations.
It was the nephew of the left waist gunner of the plane I mentioned together with his wife and 6 year old son.
They stayed with us for 4 days.
The gunner, Edward Ciczek, was killed in the crash.
The 6 year old was named after his uncle: Edward.
