Finland, up there in north where noboby farms! | That what is was kind if thinking. It is gonna be hard times, too hard for some farmers. I just hope you get out of it whit little damage.
Main reason is that we had "difficult" spring here too. Personally being in to the cereals and canola, subsidities are more that 50% of cash flow. If you farming remembering value of your crops and don't waiste subsidies for crop production you can't fail whit this system. Way system is here people keep complaining subsidies and how good life was before. I just wanna tell them think about it little bit, before you keep complaining what we got. I think what we had here ain't even close to being perfect, but we better enjoy the ride because it is gonna end some day.
Would you Canadians complain that you need to get seeded end of the June to qualify 50-60% of our annual cashflow? I don't think so? You can cut fertilizer down and harvest it if there is something to harvest.
I'm sure you get point why we should be darn happy!
