| I,m on my second year with canola and it,s been an interesting process. My main goal at that time was to clean up a wheat field that was infested with rye. Now that the wheat price has a 3 in front of it the canola is looking more attractive all the time. The main drawback at this time is the distance to deliver the canola to market but that will get better with more acres in the area. I found that I could drill it, control the weeds and harvest with conventional equipment that we already have. This years crop looks good so far. Harvest is 7 to 10 days away. There is good information through K-State extenstion and Oklahoma State. | |
