My one piece of advice and I know you didn't ask this question is get a good accountant, not just someone that does taxes. The first year I did that I ended up refiling for the past 6 years. It is also very nice when I get a query fron the IRS to just take it to him and not have to sweat it at all.
Looks to me like you need to follow your own advice and get a good accountant. Generally, the amended return must be filed within 3 years from the date you filed your original return. I'll bet you were getting all kinds of querys if your goofball accountant amended returns for years 4, 5, and 6 which the IRS wouldn't allow. How much did you have to pay for that? |
