We have some around here, I use them. Kind of a pain to do, but really handy when it comes time to spray. 15 foot drill, 45 ft sprayer, rigged up a shutoff for 2 of the rows. Ok, so its manual, and you have to remember it, but I HATE tramping crop down. And it is cheap.
Why don't you see tramlines in US?
