Decaturville TN | I have them as well. Another problem is coyotes digging them up and making huge holes with a big mound of dirt beside them on long time notill ground. I have hundreds of these on my fields. I rented a farm that had been in CRP a few years back. It was covered in voles. I got some pellets at the Co-op and borrowed some application boxes from UT extension service for my planter to apply them. I think the rate was something like 5 lbs per acre. Zinc Phosphate pellets or something like that. (memory is bad) This totally wiped them out. To be legal these pellets must be burrowed in furrow so birds, etc don't pick them up. They are starting to reinfest some fields though. I don't shoot coyotes because they help get rid of these critters. I just wish they would fill their digging holes back up though. LOL | |
