We did that to a front assist tire and thought is was shot so replaced both fronts. Low and behold the tire repair man said he knew of a fella that could fix it. So we had it done and it is sitting at the shop as a spare. Don't really know for sure if it will work but the tire repair shop man says it will..... I think the repair was called vulcanizing??????
