West Central, MO | Not necessarily the case for us. We're new farmers who had no yield basis. So we've had to start with the county T yield--which is aweful! Plus, we've been flooded out every year since we started (1 year was a complete washout). However, the PP money is a guaranteed check well above what normal crop rents in the area are. And we've put zero input costs into that ground so far. Just not worth the risk for us given the track record the last few years. | |
