Panhandle of Ne.
Nar, I was wondering how yours were looking after the storm last week. If the weather is correct for the rest of the week, won't have to worry about the beets any longer. Chance of severe tomorrow and wind for Thurs. and Fri. They just can't handle any more wind or severe storms. I have only been here 12 years, but this has to be the worst wind/storms we have ever seen. Always get some wind and storms, but nothing like it has been this year. Our corn is finally coming through and looks like hammered crap. Planted 32-34k and looks like between a 17-31k stand at this time. There might be some more come through if it can push through the crust. Running pivots on 1 circle of beets and 5 circles of corn trying to get it to come through. Can't seem to get much heat, finally gets decent around mid-afternoon and by dark looking for jacket. This is one for the record books across a lot of country.
