| Oil from rain most certainly would NOT be a concern. Humidity in the Nation's midsection certainly uses the Gulf of Mexico as a major source for that moisture. However, only pure water evaporates into the air, and all other materials (crude oil in this case) remain in the water.
To put it more simply...it is this process that explains why it rains pure water, and not salt water, even though the source for a lot of that moisture is from the salt-water of the Gulf of Mexico. | |
