Subject: RE: Soybeans that break off cotylendons at emergence?

They've been in the ground 21 days now. Had about 4 inches of rain since planting. The ground is not really crusted, just hard and dry on top now when they are trying to emerge. It does not look like it will be a big problem for me this year, but I was just pondering the question when I was out doing a stand count tonight and after seeing more than just a few broke off I wondered what would become of them. I know most won't make it, but was wondering how many, if any, will. I did not include any of them in my stand count.
