Statesville, NC | The power steering and hydraulic lift are two completely separate systems. As the other post stated the three point fluid could be diverted to a remote valve. Check to see if it has remote hydraulics, and if there is a switching valve between the remotes and three point.
On the power steering unit at the front, there is a valve controlled by the steering gear. The link between the steering arm and the valve has two pins, maybe 3/16" diameter. If the pins get slightly worn it won't move the valve enough to sense the need for hydraulic flow. If replacing the pins doesn't tighten the linkage enough you can drill out the links for oversize pins. If it steers easy one direction and hard the other, the length of the link needs adjusting. | |
