Subject: Re: Trash whippers plugging

We replaced the rash wheels on our 1240 yesterday with the Yetter sharktooth. It helped with the plugging but it's still a problem.

Ours was not settup like redfarm said, lead trash wheel was on the same side all the way across the planter. Son argued with the service manager that it was wrong but he claimed it was settup correctly. We had problems with a narrow bulkrow last year because of it. When we started having problems plugging this year, would even plug in stalks that were chieseled last fall, s.m. got to doing some checking & found that they were settup wrong so they switched them. Unfortunately that didn't end the problem.

FWIW, we're on 20" rows. SM talked to a couple customrs that run 20" deere p;anters & they said they took off their trashwheels in stalks & replaced with no-till coulters. Have a frriend with a GP 20" & he did the same so eveidently it's not just the color of the planter
