Aberdeen MS | For one particular field for me this spring, I saw the exact opposite.
The stale strips gave me the best planting conditions...... I think anyway. Time will tell.
My clods didn't explode as other years. But I didn't experiment enough this spring with various settings like I should have or done in the past. Normally any down pressure at all was the death of spring stripping. Lead coulter high, no DP, tail heavy adjustment, second shallowest depth is what is needed "here" for spring conditions.
I did go to the middle hole... but left everything else the same.
Remain acres will be set up a bit more aggressive, at least starting off to compare.
