Northern Idaho | Yes they are saying the amount retained is different, which it is. Some of our legume fields have 3 times the N left in them this spring than other fields but all fields have the same sulfur amount.
Basically my main question is does a 40bu wheat crop need the same sulfur as a 110bu wheat crop? The university is saying they need the same amount. A 110bu crop needs way more N per acre and most farmers here use a fert blend 39-0-0-7 so if they double N applied they also double amount of S applied. This goes against the U of I guidelines so I was wondering what other people thought. | |
