Couple other questions, are your shares wore down, you might not be cutting enough roots off to let the furrow flip. I would also narrow up, try 16 or maybe even 14 inches, it should do a better job, and you can plow shallower, (general rule as stated above is half furrow width in depth). I have that problem with a knvernland plow sometimes too.
