Central Alberta | If there is considerable afalfa coming back consider using eclipse which has lontrel in it in crop. I am assuming 9553 is RR. For additional grass control I have heard that mixing assure with glyphosate works good for foxtail barley control so it may be possible to mix these two. That may be worth checking into because glyphosate alone probably will not control the grass if it comes back. I have not done this yet myself. I have however, custom seeded barley and wheat into spring killed grass sod with our JD 1895 disc drill. We can get a good stand but usually the grass sod comes back and chokes the crop resulting in a poor yeild the first year. | |
