| Hi All - we had a lot of manure to spread this spring and the fields were a little soft and now we got a hard pan where we entered the field. Wondering if I were to chisel it what damage could I be doing for the rest of this season. The land is going to be corn and was soybeans. Heavy soils and we did get almost 5 inches of rain last night. Something, I think, has to be done because its like a road there now. What would you do? Thinking about using the chisel and breaking it up some and then disking the clumps then working smooth with the field cultivator once things dry out again. | |
