SESD | I don't think I would roll the corn stalks ahead of the planter. In my case, less disturbance equals better plantability. If the stalks get flattened in the wrong direction to your planter pass you may end up having a hard time getting the trash to flow through the planter, especially if the stalks are tough. That being said it would not take to much time to try it in a few spots before doing the whole field.
