I've been a big fan of WL as well. They have good tonnage but even better quality. I didn't seed anything down this year but good alfalfa no matter who you get it from is going to be north of $225 a bag. When I was in retail I saw countless guys who would just plant cheap *&^%. Their excuse was it will just freeze out any way. Well if you know your crop is going to fail no matter what you do why are you even going to plant it? A 1/2 ton of yeild more during those years of that hay stand will pay for the yeild increase. These newer varities are so good that that 1/2 ton increase will probabaly happen the first year of seeding not to mention the ton or two the next three or four years of the stand.
