Subject: 8400T rear-end

At 4000 hrs, drained rear-end and out came the light clips that hold ball bearings together. Dealership thought I was lucky to catch it before it got real expensive. It was ~$6K. A couple of neighbors had the same thing happen but didn't catch it before it was really expensive ~16K. Those tractors were updated to the components of a 20 series with bigger gears, shaft and bearings. At 5700 hrs. I drained clips out my drain hole again. It's going to the shop next week to find out what came apart. It sounds like the 8000T and 8010T wide stance are notorious for this failure. Have others out there had similar problems?
