NW Ohio | When I researched, I found that there isn't any product that will dissolve the algea. It will only kill it. You still have the dead algea in there. I would empty the tank and see what it looked like. If you can see it, you should removed it. In my tractor, the slime was not all loose in the fuel. Some was stuck to the tank. I took them to a local radiator repair shop and had them steam cleaned. I'm thinking it was only around $85 to have both tanks from my tractor cleaned. They said that they have cleaned a lot of tanks from semi trucks. They did not tell me what they used. Maybe a shop near you has some experience with it. Afterwards, run some treated fuel through the lines and change your filters. This is like a sure way not to have continued problems at different intervals. Best of luck! | |
