Haven't run a pull type but do have a three point. It works great, however would go pull type next time. You can't have too big of a tractor on it and those are all bareback these days. Have broken a top link, however my top link was comprimised by an earlier wurdinger plow. If your hitch will float it would take a great deal to crush the link. Mine was broken by pull not crush.
