I would talk to him to make sure you can't have it still, if not I would walk away and not rock the boat.
You can also chalk this up in the hard lessons learned catagory, from now on you had better have a written lease so your keister is covered. I myself learned my lesson after spent a whole winter cleaning out fencelines that I asked permission to cut back, they gave me the green light in the fall, then spring rolled around and I got an angry phone call telling me to "stay the h*** off their land". I never thought anyone could get so worked up about a bunch of boxelder trees, with the way they grow you probably couldn't tell I was there 2 years later. | |
