NC Iowa | i have a 6x6 center door post with a metal guide on it, for the lower door track to slide on. the frost has always heaved it up some, usually sometime in february. i have always just adjusted the doors up about an inch, and that solved the problem. when the frost goes out, i pound the post down and readjust the doors. this year, the post must have gone up 3 inches. the doors hit on the top as i am now out of adjustment.
what is a good way to solve this? do i need to cement something in, or try to set a post deeper? i think the post is in the ground 4 feet now. | |
