SESD | Well guys, I ended up purchasing the 1/4. I got it for 285K as I found it was about 7 acres short of 160. Thanks for the advice/encouragement. I've got a much better feeling after I decided to buy it as opposed to letting my stomach turn about it. But well see what happens in the next few years. The pasture is rented out for this year, which is a drawback. I just lost pasture about the same size so it would have worked out perfect. I know the guy who was subrenting it and he is actually related also, so I'll see if I can just buy him out. He's only payin 25/ac which sucks........for me.
I think I'll just put about 10K down and get all my inputs paid for in cash. It also depends what FSA appraises it for as to what I'll need down. Thanks again!!!!!! | |
