SE Nebraska
Always use a preplant. Roundup Resistant kochia has been confirmed in central and north dentral Kansas, and it comes from relying on Roundup alone. Marestail and giant ragweed are also nasty resistant weeds. You don't want to end up with roundup resistant cane. There are a number of lower cost options out there. Brawl atz, Volley atz, and Cinch Atz all come to mind. Or a program of Surestart or Degree extra. But "naked" acres cause long term problems.
