Subject: A Good Start?

Northeast Louisiana
I booked some new crop corn this morning through a broker on the Dec 2007 market for Nov-Dec delivery for $4.05, + 2 cents basis, FOB my bins. Going to other side of the state to feed mills. I'm no marketing genius by any stretch of the imagination, but it seemed hard to go wrong with that. My marketing man says that $4.00 corn needs to be sold.
I also booked a few Nov 2007 soybeans at $8.05 - 50cent basis, net $7.55, at local elevator since I can't store soybeans.
Are you guys selling any corn or beans yet or waiting to see where the market goes?
