Two year beans probably pretty safe. I always inoculate and see it in the crop after, increased N takeup which also brings other nutrients.

It is a chore to work with unless you have it put on your seed but a good paying chore.

The inoculants since 1995 are so competitive they only survive one year or so in any quantity so I always inoculate. I don't ever planted legumes without it in my life.

It is no way to cut cost. $2 won't buy much fuel or potash.
