Subject: RE: crop insurance audit

northern MN

I have been audited 2 of the last 4 years, luck of the draw. You shouldn't be afraid of the audit at all in each of the years in question I actually gained yield on some units. If you had a loss of over $100.000 it is an automatic audit. Assuming you have reasonably good records and are not cheating there is nothing to be concerned with. As for the 578 I don't believe they have the form, all you did is provide your planted acres which should be a match. Some would try to change premium acres for various reasons, not all honest.

Changing company's will not stop the audit.
