I farm a bunch of that type of ground. I tried the "no-till" thing it did not seem to help. The ground would get so tight water would stand until it evaporated. I run my DMI with 7" no-till point every other year( before corn) if the fall weather allows. It has changed the water infiltration drastically. Still when the water table is high the ground is wet.
